Jobs at Mt Baldy
If you love the outdoors, and like living an active lifestyle then a position at Mt Baldy is for you. The Lifts at Mt Baldy is a short 25 minute drive from the Mountain Avenue or Basline exits off the 210 freeway in bustling Southern California. Some of our employees live in the small town of Mt Baldy and enjoy mountain living while many live and make the commute from the surrounding foothill cities like Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Claremont and Glendora. Parking Staff


Parking Staff positions are typically offered during the winter months when skiers and snowboarders are flocking to the mountain. During the summer months there are a few big events where parking staff is needed along with evening events where a valet service is offered. 

Duties include:

     - Welcoming customers with a friendly greeting.

     - Directing traffic to parking spots.

     - Informing guests about the mountain.

     - Cleaning and snow removal.

     - Loading and unloading of supplies.

     - Crowd control.

     - Janitorial.

The Parking Staff at Mt Baldy is the first impression our guest receive upon arrival.  It is important that parking attendents are proud of their apperance and are always eagar to put their best foot forward.

Ticket Office Sales
Working at Mt Baldy in the ticketing department can at times be the most challenging position on the mountain.  This position requires the ability to handle a plethora of different transactions swifty and with a special emphasis on customer service. 

Requirements: Must be atleast 18 years old, have own transportation. Requires opertion of computers, good math and communication skills.

  • Handles the sales of lift tickets, and lesson packages to guests
  • heavy phone activity
  • As a ticket seller you create the first imression of our mountain, you must have a pleasant attitude and great customer service

Lift Operators

It is very important to always have good customer service. As a lift operator you should always be prepared for weather and wear the proper clothing every day. Have a great attitude and willing to assist other employees, managers and customers in any way. 

Duties include:

  • loading and unloading of customers/ skiers or snowboarders. Chair #1 includes foot passengers but also includes skis, boards, groceries, misc. supplies, patrol equipment and other various items.
  • shoveling snow keeping loading and unloading ramps in safe conditions and maintaining them during shifts.
  • properly filiing out all daily paperwork, lift logs, open and close sheets.
  • checking customers and employees for tickets and passes
  • setting up all ropes, lines and signs prior to operation
  • cleaning your area of trash and debris and keeping it clean including the lift shack. Remove all trash at end of the day.

Lift operators will have to complete Lift operating training and testing, including all Osha requirements.

Lift Maintenance 

Lift Maintenance is a position needed year round. Seasonal Part time to full time positions. You must be mechanically inclined and able to work at heights. Lift Maintenance operators maintain and repair chairlift machinary and parts.Works mostly outdoors in all winter and summer weather. Must be atleast 18 years old and have own transportation.

Kitchen

All kitchen positions will have specific job descriptions to be followed. However these can change to inclue duties outside the specific job description as needed for daily kitchen operations.

Line cook

A line cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen. Sets up station and prepares all food items. Restocks all items as needed, cleans and maintains station, good safety, sanitation, organizational skills. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, coolers and all storage areas. Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen manager. Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills, safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Cafeteria worker

Cafeteria workers are primarily a seasonal position however this position can overlap into off season depending on events and business. This is an important position for the restaurant and dealing with guests in a friendly and professional manner on a daily basis is required. Basic knowledge of hot and cold food preparation, hot and cold food storage as well as a valid health card are required. Duties include setting up the cafeteria line for service, maintaining a clean and safe work station, greeting and serving food to guests, stocking line for next shift and the the following morning. In general, cafeteria workers perform any duties assigned by the chef or kitchen manager.

Dishwasher

This is primarily a seasonal position however this position can overlap into the off season depending on events and business needs. A basic knowledge of restaurant operations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and a valid health card are required for this position. .
