Battle of the Brews #7
August 6 @ 2:00 pm - 6:30 pm
What’s better in the summer time than good music, a good view, and cold local craft beer? 16 local breweries have been invited to face off Sunday afternoons throughout the summer at Southern California’s highest venue. Hike, bike, or ride up the scenic chairlift to grab a flight of local beer. Vote on your favorite overall brewery. When you turn in your completed ballot to the bartender, you will even get a free pint of your choice. At the end of the day the votes are tallied and the winner advances through a single elimination bracket. Enjoy all the mountain has to offer with a live band playing on our patio stage and ½ priced zip lines included with your participation in Battle of the Brews.
Last year Rok House Brewing Company took the title for the 2nd year straight. Will the reigning champ continue their winning streak, or will one of the other 15 breweries step up to knock them off the podium? You decide.
The hike from the bottom takes an hour or less for the ‘pros’ and for us cruisers it’s more like an hour and a half.
Ride the lift up and take your time walking down in the evening or hoof it up knowing that you’ll have a nice leisurely ride down to cap off the night.
Whether you plan to ride the lift up or down its a good idea to redeem your package when you first arrive. If you decide to use the lift up proceed then to the lift. If your planning on riding down then pick your path up and start hiking
With this option you have the most versatility for your evening. The chair lift ride is approximately 20 min. Once you arrive at the Notch we suggest hiking to the top of Lift #4 to the Devil’s Backbone trail head. It’s only a couple miles round trip and offers views on both the high desert and the LA Basin. Of course you could always sit back and enjoy the music and socialize at the Notch all evening.
