Ski Patrollers are the first responders to safety and medical issues on the mountain. Patrollers have a passion for the outdoors and service to those in need.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Available at least 2 days a week. More than 2 days preferred.
- First response and incident reporting.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- EMR and CPR certification minimum.
- EMT or Paramedic preferred.
- Expert level ski ability.
- Alpine mountaineering experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to ski and ability is tested onsite. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work environment is mostly outdoors and requires ability to work in cold temperatures.
